Missoni Spring/ Summer 2011 collection is the most colorful Missoni range I have ever seen. So many hues combined just in one outfit… in every outfit actually. It seems incredible but not for Angela Missoni who is said to have worked with her daughter Margherita over the collection.
“It was a trip,” Angela said speaking about the inspiration for her Spring/ Summer 2011 range. And the trip was through all those exotic countries including Japan, Jamaica, Mexico, Vietnam… Everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
The prints in Missoni Spring/ Summer 2011 collection were absolutely amazing. On the one hand, they seemed to be totally 2D with all those geometric shapes like triangles, squares, circles – all in different colors, and together making a strange combination. However, they did have some 3D feel thanks to unusual designs of the pieces.
While the Spring/ Summer 2011 collection was very Missoni it came with a new modern and I would say youthful twist. Margherita Missoni added her fresh vision into designs and made those even more interesting for us.
