Haven’t I told you I love Oscar de la Renta? I guess I have, lots of times. And I think the word ‘love’ can’t fully describe the feelings I have to this genius. Every season he stays true to his feminine dresses, chic designs and bright vibrant colors. For Spring/ Summer 2011 he has gone the same path but with a new twist as he always does so that we couldn’t get bored from his creations.
Some of Oscar de la Renta’s Spring/ Summer 2011 pieces look a bit old-fashioned and overdone but who can say where modern fashion stops and starts the old one? So, he might be somewhere in between trying to combine things from both worlds that are so attractive.
Plenty of dresses have been made for cocktail hour – strapless, embroidered, fluffy – just for any taste possible. Huge ball gowns look superb but sometimes it seems that there are too much of airy fabrics.
Floral prints are a definite focus and as it turns out they are going to be a new trend for the Spring/ Summer 2011 season as Oscar de la Renta isn’t the first designer I’m writing about who used florals in his collection widely.
